The Chandler project explained in depth

Tellus has a vision to build the world’s first multi-national deep geological repository the Chandler project, in the Northern Territory.

Last year, we reached agreement with the Titjikala Native Title Party to proceed with the Chandler project. We’ve had terrific support from the Northern Territory Government to navigate approvals processes.

More recently, we announced Amentum as our partner to lead a strategic review of Chandler. The strategic review includes technical feasibility, timelines, financial viability, risk management and environmental impact of the project.

To understand the journey we have

Chandler is a unique project, and it continues to generate interest in the media and the community.

This week, our CEO Nate Smith featured in a three-part series on NT Country Hour on Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) radio. The series is a deep dive on mining the salt bed at Chandler, how Chandler would differ from our existing operations at Sandy Ridge, in WA, the waste types the project will be suitable for, and where we will be sourcing waste from.
