Australia’s green energy transition, critical minerals ambitions and industrial growth all depend on infrastructure that most people never see.
Speaking on Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) Radio during the Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum in Kalgoorlie, Tellus CEO Anna Dartnell discussed the important role environmental infrastructure plays in supporting Australia’s future.

Anna was also guest speaker at the WIMWA (Women in Mining and Resources WA) Networking Dinner alongside other industry leaders during one of the resources sector’s most significant annual events.
As Anna explained: “We offer a service that didn’t exist in Australia before Tellus came on the scene. We are really in a special place to focus on cleaning up Australia, being part of the green energy transition, but also really working with customers in the resources sector whether it be oil and gas or mining, who are looking to solve really tricky problems and haven’t had anyone to work with them on those tasks until now.”
Through its geological repository at Sandy Ridge, Tellus is helping industry solve complex waste challenges while protecting people and the environment for generations to come. The facility provides a nationally significant capability that supports sectors including mining, oil and gas, remediation and emerging industries.
Australia’s future prosperity will be driven by resources, critical minerals, energy and advanced industry. But with that opportunity comes responsibility. Long-term growth depends not only on what we produce, but on how responsibly we manage the environmental legacy that comes with it.
At Tellus, we’re proud to help build that capability, enabling industry to operate sustainably while supporting a cleaner, greener future for Australia.
