“Radiation Protection from Bananas to Boats.” The Australasian Radiation Protection Society (ARPS) Annual Conference, held this week in Coffs Harbour, is once again tackling radiation safety from all angles.

As a proud conference sponsor, Tellus is in the thick of the action: Robert Blackley, our Radiological Sales chief, and Business Development Manager Blake Zimmermann are both on-site (at Booth 7) to answer your questions about radiological waste management at Australia’s only operational radioactive waste facility, Sandy Ridge.

ARPS, founded in 1975, has more than 250 members across Australia engaged in radiation protection activities, across medicine, pure and applied science, industry and mining. The annual conference provides a platform for demonstrating new technologies and applications, training the next generation of radiation professionals and sharing the importance of stakeholder engagement and social licence.

Tellus’ Sandy Ridge is Australia’s only operational geological repository, enabling secure short and long-term safe storage and isolation of hazardous and strategic materials for business continuity or future recovery.
