As Australia’s clean energy transition gathers pace, and our nation embarks on building a nuclear-powered defence capability, we have a role and responsibility to engage in the public debate about the waste challenges from energy production.
All forms of energy – oil, gas, coal, wind, solar, nuclear – generate hazardous waste across the production lifecycle.
So, when our CEO Nate Smith was invited to join a panel convened by Nuclear for Australia to discuss Australia’s Nuclear Future, we were pleased to accept.
Nate will be speaking at an exclusive event on 29 January 2025, from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm AWST in the Perth CBD (venue to be announced), featuring Grace Stanke, 2023 Miss America and a nuclear engineer advocating for clean energy solutions.
Joining Nate on the panel are:
- Grace Stanke – Miss America 2023 & Nuclear Engineer
- Jasmin Diab CSC GAICD Diab – President of Women in Nuclear (WiN) Australia Nuclear Australia
- Mark Schneider – Chief Nuclear Officer for UBH Group in Australia
